How we work, in plain words.
Veritate.ai is a two-person web and local marketing service in Apex and Holly Springs, North Carolina. These are the terms on which we do business and on which the missed-call text-back service runs. Our Privacy Policy says what we collect.
The free audit
An audit is a written review of public pages: a Google listing, a website, and the path a customer takes to reach a business. It is free and stays free whether or not you hire us. It reports what we observed on a stated date and is not a guarantee that any change will produce any particular result.
Paid work
Nothing starts before the scope, the price and a delivery date are agreed in writing. Nothing is billed before the work is live. Domains, accounts, tracking and every file are registered in your name from the first day. Where a monthly route is offered it is a twelve-month plan for the same work paid over a year, not a subscription; what follows the twelve months is stated on the quote and can be stopped any month.
SMS Terms: the missed-call text-back service
Some businesses we work for forward their unanswered calls to a dedicated business text line operated by Veritate.ai for that business. You reach that line only by dialling the business's own published phone number, the one on its Google Business Profile, website, vehicles and invoices, at a moment when nobody picks up. There is no number to text first and no form to fill in.
- How you opt in. You hear this prompt, word for word, with the business's name in place of the brackets:
Sorry, [Business] could not pick up. To get one text message from [Business] about this call, press 1. You will get one message per call. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Otherwise, please call back later.
If you press 1 during the call, you agree to receive one text message from that business about your call. If you do not press 1, nothing is sent. - What you receive. One message per call, naming the business and giving its call-back number, and where the business has set one up, a link to request a time. At most one message per day from any one business. The business does not message you again through that line except in direct reply to something you wrote.
- Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier charges for text messages apply according to your mobile plan.
- Opting out. Reply STOP at any time and that business will not text you again through this service. Reply START to opt back in.
- Help. Reply HELP for the business name, its call-back number and these instructions, or email hello@veritate.ai.
- Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your consent is not a condition of purchase. Pressing 1 is optional; you can always simply call the business back.
The messages are sent by Veritate.ai on the business's behalf, from a number dedicated to that business and separate from its published phone number. We do not record calls, and we do not sell or share your phone number or your replies with anyone for marketing purposes.
What we do not do
We do not send cold text messages, we do not add anyone to a mailing list, and we do not guarantee search rankings, call volumes or revenue. Where a report quotes a competitor's address or a Google figure, it is what we observed on the stated date, and it can change.
Liability
Our liability for any work is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for the actions of third-party platforms (Google, Twilio, hosting providers, booking tools) whose terms govern their services.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date below moves and the change is described here.
